About NodesNow

What is NodesNow?

NodesNow is an all-in-one meeting platform with everything teams need for effective collaboration. With it, you can plan meetings, collaborate with teammates, and follow up in one place, so everyone is on the same page from start to finish.

NodesNow supports in-person, remote, and hybrid collaboration, so your team can sync up from anywhere. It is informed by modern meeting methodologies and also supports them—making it straightforward to follow effective workflows.


What does the NodesNow ecosystem consist of?

The NodesNow ecosystem seamlessly combines the NodesNow Board and five interconnected apps. These include:

  • Touchscreen and touchscreen app: the heart of NodesNow, which power in-person meetings

  • Web app: for remote participants to connect to the NodesNow spaces, meeting facilitators to set up spaces for meetings, and meeting collaborators to assist facilitators and collaborate asynchronously

  • Mobile app: an app to send notes and media to NodesNow spaces, as well as create spaces and present them on the touchscreen and web app

  • Mobile web app: a simple way to share notes

  • Customer Hub: an admin portal for enterprise customers to manage their touchscreen devices and meetings


Do I need to install any specific software to use NodesNow?

If you're an in-person participant at a NodesNow meeting, you can engage directly with the touchscreen board and send notes to it with the mobile web app—no download is needed.

If you're a remote participant, you can collaborate via the web app with Microsoft Teams integration—also, no download is needed.

If you're going to collaborate deeper, download the NodesNow mobile app to send media to spaces, create spaces, and invite collaborators to them.



Account

Can I sign into NodesNow with my Microsoft, Google, or Apple credentials?

Yes, you can sign into NodesNow using your Microsoft, Google, or Apple credentials. This option is available on our mobile app, web app, and mobile web app. These are the general steps:

  1. Open the NodesNow mobile app, web app, or mobile web app.

  2. On the sign-in page, select the option to sign in with your Microsoft, Google, or Apple account.

  3. Follow the prompts to sign in with your selected account.

Remember, we take your security seriously. NodesNow will only use your account to authenticate you and will never access, read, or modify your personal data without your permission.


I'm having trouble logging into my account. What can I do?

Having trouble accessing your account can be frustrating. This can happen for various reasons, but we're here to assist you.

Can't remember your login details?

You can bypass this by signing in using your Microsoft, Google, or Apple credentials. Simply select the appropriate icon on the sign-in page.

Forgot your password?

If you've forgotten your password, don't worry. On the app's login page, tap Forgot password. We'll send a reset link to your registered email address, which you can use to create a new password.

How can I delete my NodesNow account?

How to delete your account

  1. Open the NodesNow mobile app and navigate to the More screen.

  2. Tap Delete my account to go the account deletion page.

  3. Once there, tap DELETE MY ACCOUNT.

  4. To proceed, tap CONFIRM AND DELETE.

  5. You'll see a confirmation screen that indicates that you have successfully deleted your account.

Common questions about deleting your account

What happens when you delete your account?

Upon deleting your account, all associated data—including preferences, settings, saved items, and other account-specific information—is permanently removed from our servers.

Is account deletion reversible?

No, deleting your account is irreversible. After you delete your account, there is no way to reactivate it or recover your data. Please consider this before proceeding.

Does NodesNow track my location?

Yes, we do gather some location data to help improve our services. But remember, it's all in your hands. You can easily opt out in your device's location settings. Just note that some features might not work the same way without location data.

Spaces

What is a space in NodesNow?

A space in NodesNow is an interactive workspace that accommodates both in-room and online collaborators.

When you receive an invitation in NodesNow, you're being invited to a space. This space contains tools and features for collaboration. It houses everything you and your team need before, during, and after a meeting. This includes Microsoft Teams for seamless communication.

After you create a space, you can come back to it whenever you'd like via the NodesNow touchscreen or web app and send content to it using the mobile app or mobile web app.


How big is the canvas in a NodesNow space?

The canvas size in a NodesNow space is essentially unlimited. This means you have as much space as you need to collaborate on your ideas and projects.

Everything on your canvas is saved in real-time to the cloud. You can leave and come back to your work at any time, picking up exactly where you left off. This provides you and your team with a flexible, expansive workspace to suit your needs.


Is content in NodesNow spaces automatically saved?

Yes, NodesNow automatically saves your content as you collaborate. Ensure you're signed in to save your work; if you aren’t already, you'll need to sign in before you exit the space to retain your content.


What file formats are supported in NodesNow spaces?

Currently, NodesNow supports sending the following file formats to spaces:

Image formats: .jpg, .png

Video formats: .mov, .mp4

This list will continue to grow in future updates. Check back here and in future release notes for additional formats.


What's the size limit for sending files to a space?

You can currently send files up to 100 MB to NodesNow spaces. If your files are bigger than that, consider compressing them or splitting them into smaller files.

Creating a space on the touchscreen without signing in vs. signing in first: What's the difference?

NodesNow offers two ways to collaborate: creating an ad hoc space or signing in and creating a space.

Creating a space without signing in

Ad hoc spaces, which you can create on the touchscreen by tapping GET STARTED, are your fast track to collaboration in NodesNow. Remember to sign in from within the space before you close it if you want to save your work.

Creating a space when you're already signed in

Creating a space using the mobile or desktop web app provides a more structured setup. This allows you to name the space, add descriptions, invite participants to the space and its associated Microsoft Teams call, and upload content before you get to a a touchscreen.

The takeaway? Create an ad hoc space when you're in a room with a touchscreen and want a quick collaboration session without prior setup. For more organized and planned sessions, sign into the mobile or web app and set up a space there first.


I created a space on the touchscreen without signing in. How can I save my space?

If you created a space without logging in, you just need to sign into your NodesNow mobile app and connect it to the touchscreen before you close the space. Simply tap BACK TO DASHBOARD to start the log in process. Then follow the onscreen instructions. More more detailed instructions, see this short guide.


Can I lock or password-protect the touchscreen?

No, the touchscreen cannot be locked or password-protected. However, here's how you can ensure your privacy:

  1. Manual logout: When you're ready to take a break or end a session, select BACK TO DASHBOARD in the space you are working in. Then, log out on the dashboard.

  2. Automatic logout: If left inactive, the system will automatically log you out after 10 minutes.


Screen sharing and offline mode

Can I use the touchscreen when the internet isn't available?

Yes. If internet goes out, you can use offline mode. This gives you the following two ways of collaborating until your internet connection returns:

How do I connect my computer or device to the touchscreen?

For computers, connect using these options:

  • Web app: The NodesNow desktop web app mirrors the touchscreen and allows you to collaborate in the same space. Learn how to open a space in the web app here.

  • HDMI/AirPlay: You can also cast or or mirror your screen directly onto the touchscreen using HDMI or AirPlay.

For mobile devices, connect using these options:

  • Mobile app: With the mobile app, you can send notes and media to a space on the touchscreen, create spaces, invite participants, and present spaces on the touchscreen. Learn how to connect using the mobile app here.

  • Mobile web app: The mobile web app is limited to sending notes to a space on the touchscreen. Learn how to connect using the mobile web app here.


Stylus

Can I use any stylus on the touchscreen, or do I need a specific one?

You can use any stylus or pen, whether active or passive, on the touchscreen. However, when you use an active stylus, the touchscreen might not recognize all of its features.

Where can I download the NodesNow mobile app?

The NodesNow mobile app is available for iOS and Android devices on Google Play and the App Store respectively. Download the app here:


Do I need an account to use the NodesNow app?

No, you don't. You also have the option of signing into the app with your Microsoft, Google, or Apple credentials. Alternatively, you can collaborate anonymously on a mobile web browser. However, you'll be limited to sharing notes with the space.


Do I need the NodesNow mobile app to send content to the touchscreen?

No, you can send notes to a space on the touchscreen via our mobile web app on your device. However, for full NodesNow collaboration features, we recommend downloading the mobile app.

How can I invite people to a Teams call from the touchscreen?

How can I invite people to a Teams call from the touchscreen?

Start a Teams call in a NodesNow space on the touchscreen and tap the + icon in the Teams menu. This will generate an invite URL and QR code that you can share with your collaborators. See this article for more information.


How can I share the touchscreen screen in a Teams meeting?

In an active Microsoft Teams open on the touchscreen, tap the share screen icon in the Teams menu. Call participants will then be able to see the touchscreen's canvas. See this article for more information.


How can I mute or adjust the volume of Teams calls from the touchscreen?

Tap the speaker icon in the upper right of the screen. This will open the touchscreen's volume control, which you can adjust as desired.

Note: To mute the touchscreen's microphone, tap the microphone icon in the Teams menu. See this article for more information.
