Microsoft Teams is integrated into every NodesNow space, enabling seamless real-time communication as you collaborate. As such, participating in a Microsoft Teams call in NodesNow is as easy as pressing a button.
Join a space's Microsoft Teams call on the desktop web app
To join a Teams call on the NodesNow desktop web app:
Ensure that the owner of the space has started the call. (Only the person who created the space has permission to start a call.)
Click START MS TEAMS CALL.
After agreeing to the camera and microphone permissions, you are ready to participate.
Join a NodesNow Microsoft Teams call outside of a space
You can also join a space's Microsoft Teams call in a separate window or in the Teams app. This can be helpful if you have two monitors, for example, and want to dedicate more screen real estate to the space. Here's how:
Note: No Microsoft account or Teams sign-in is required to join a Teams call in NodesNow.
Join via your desktop browser
Obtain the Microsoft Teams call URL for the space you're collaborating in. See how to obtain it here.
Enter the URL in your desktop browser's address bar.
You'll be given a choice of how to join the meeting. Choose Continue on this browser.
Grant permission for Microsoft Teams to access your microphone and camera by clicking Allow.
On the next screen:
Choose a screen name.
Adjust your camera and microphone settings if needed.
Click Join now to enter the call.
You'll then be taken to the Teams meeting.
Join through the Microsoft Teams app
Obtain the Microsoft Teams call URL for the space you're collaborating in.
Enter the URL in your desktop browser's address bar.
You'll be given a choice of how to join the meeting. Choose Join on the Teams app. This will launch Teams on your computer.
If needed, sign into Teams.
On the next screen:
Choose a screen name.
Adjust your camera and microphone settings if needed.
Tap Join now to enter the call.
You'll then be taken to the Teams meeting.
